Full-Time Surgery Scheduler At Avant Gynecology

Avant Gynecology in Atlanta, GA is currently seeking a full-time surgery scheduler to join our team.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Friday – 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

Job Functions

– Coordinates and schedules appointments for surgeries for physicians at the clinic and hospital.

– Provides patients with generic preoperative information sheets and advises patients of preoperative surgical and financial requirements.

– Coordinates arrangements for surgical assistants, special equipment, and surgical materials.

– Ensures that physician’s orders are received.

– Verifies insurance and collects payments.

– Obtains authorization for surgery from patients’ insurance companies.

– Completes disability paperwork.

Qualifications

– 2-5 years of experience in scheduling patients for surgery and advising patients of surgical and financial preoperative requirements. 

– 2 years of experience in a medical setting with knowledge of medical terminology.
